School Funding Reform : Next Steps Towards a Fairer System

*** FLSE update - 20th June 2012 ***

Funding of special school and academies

In terms of providing an update on the reforms, along with the March document itself, the department has published a lot of information on their website .

You can also download a set of powerpoint slides used at the National Fair Funding Conference last month, which explain the reforms in clear and simple terms.

Since last spring, and the launch of the first consultation on school funding reform1, the DfE have explored in detail how to create a funding system that is fair, logical and distributes extra funding towards pupils who need it most.

The potential impact on all SEN schools requires active discussion and consultation amongst FLSE members.

Please note: The deadline for all consultation back to the DfE closed on the 21st May 2012

See the following documents below that provide all the details and information on the School Funding Reform, together with a Consultation Response document.
